*COVID Procedure Update*

We at NVS are so excited for the promise of some return to normality over the coming weeks. Due to logistics and the size of our consulting space, we, unfortunately, will need to continue contactless consultations for the time being. We will assess this in line with the changing government directives and will aim to reintroduce clients into the hospital as soon as we can do it safely, and without further complicating an already tricky situation. We are so grateful for the continued understanding of our clients. Thank you!

As you are all aware, the spread of COVID-19 is causing significant disruptions locally, and devastation in many other parts of the world. We want to assure you that we are taking our responsibility to minimise transmission of the virus very seriously. Likewise, as an essential service to our community, we also take our responsibility to serve the pets and carers of the North Shore and Northern Beaches incredibly seriously, and we wish to advise that we remain OPEN, with 24/7 continuous care.

To ensure our continued operation during this uncertain time, we have implemented a number of very strict protocols in line with the recommendations of leading government and healthcare organisations.

For now, only pets and hospital employees are allowed in the hospital. Video and telephone consultations, and e-signature consent forms are being used in place of traditional face-to-face consultations.

We already have rigorous cleaning and disinfecting protocols in place, and we have increased the frequency of all cleaning processes. As usual, all team members wash their hands before and after handling each patient, and are now wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE) for patient collection and transfer. Any staff member feeling ill or unwell is required to stay home.

These additional safety measures are to preserve the health and wellbeing of our team, our clients, our patients, and our community. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
