We are a bustling referral centre with specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Avian and Exotics, Cardiology, Radiology, and Anaesthesiology, as well as a team of highly trained and experienced Emergency and Critical Care Vets and an amazing crew of nurses and support personnel.

While prior veterinary nursing or veterinary reception experience is a bonus, we value people-skills, dependability, and a passion for continuous improvement above all else. Full training will be provided to the right candidate. We would prefer to engage full-time, however part-time may be an option.

FT/PT Veterinary Nurse – Inpatient / Critical Care Nurse

Blood transfusions, ventilator patients, post-surgical rehab -– a day in the life of an Inpatient / Critical Care Nurse at NVS is never boring! Work in a very fast-paced environment and act as the patient advocate – ensuring each and every patient receives optimal care, from admission through to discharge.

We are a rapidly-growing referral centre with specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Exotics, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, and Diagnostic Imaging. We also provide a daytime Emergency and Critical Care service, staffed by fabulous, highly experienced ECC Vets. About this role

Our inpatient and ECC nurses are superstars! They work in a very fast-paced environment and act as the patient advocate – ensuring each and every patient receives optimal care, from admission through to discharge. The inpatient and ECC team work seamlessly with each of the specialist departments to ensure the day runs smoothly, and the patients receive the care they need and deserve. Inpatient nurses are often involved in advanced imaging procedures such as ultrasound and CT scans, administer medications and medical treatments, perform venepuncture and place IV catheters, and play a vital role in client communication and education.


About you
Our ideal nurse will meet the following criteria:

  • Min. Cert IV Veterinary Nursing qualification, or equivalent;
  • Solid general nursing skills;
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment;
  • Loves the thrill of emergency OR the calm of dedicated patient care;
  • Friendly team-player

We are looking for a Veterinary Nurse with a passion for surgery to join our friendly, inclusive specialist surgical team. Our boutique referral centre located in Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches is growing faster than we can keep up!
 

We’ve expanded from 1 FTE surgeon to 3 FTE surgeons over the past year and a half, and we need amazing Nurses to join the team to keep everything rolling!

Animal and Facilities Attendant

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, animal-loving superstar to join our team.
As an animal attendant, you will play a critical role in the wellbeing of our patients and the wildlife we care for. You will be there to provide comfort and the basic necessities, food and water, walks, a clean bed, etc. as well as to support our incredibly hardworking nurses and vets by keeping the hospital sparkling clean and well-stocked.

This role is varied and does require a valid driver’s license.
